Frankenstein : Rebel against god

Alchemy against fate . That is Victor's (the protagonist) road  for revolution.
Against illness and loss defined as god's plan , he wants to change by creating the perfect out from the incomplete . It's man's will versus man's submissiveness to fate. But , the experiment produces an ugly creature he calls him "the wretched" who is everyone's rejection due to his appearance.
Moreover , he loves Victor as his reason of life even if he killed all his beloved ones to keep his company.

The hero's character (the wretched)  is structured like common fairy tales heroes such as Sargon of Akkad
and Oedipus, whom birth is miraculous and raises abandoned by parents/Victor his maker who wanted him dead .

The whole structure is a projection to the biblical story of creation.
"  I ought to be thy Adam, but I am rather the fallen angel, whom thou drives from joy for no misdeed. "p95
Victor stands for god
The wretched for Adam
The pride for Eve
Alchemy for the seduction of serpent and the devil here should be the society .
The society was nothing but a burden or a silent spectacle. In many cases such as , the injustice death of Justin  , the  innocence of Victor who is somehow guilty and the unconditional hostility against "the wretched"  . All pushes him to withdraw , and  to plan his paradise a far far Eden,  with his mate.

" Everywhere I see bliss, from which I alone am irrevocably excluded. I was benevolent and good; misery made me a fiend " p95.

Although , the author misunderstands the difference between science and Alchemy , she distinguishes some components to be the "good" ones others to be the bad.
Nature / Beauty / Human company / Oriental languages studies Versus
Alchemy / ugliness  / isolation /science studies .
So ,  the author decides,  in the name of  human race to cherish nature and god and refuses Alchemy and science.
This is expressed in the two contradicted scenes of Victor:
1- when he freaks out at "The wretched"  because of his ugliness .
2 - while being pleased and happy enjoying beauty of nature.

The language is poetic and feminist specially when Shelly describes a man in the name of another,  that sounds so gay.
Scenes reflect in details the character's inner feelings :
" The road ran by the side of the lake which became narrower as I approached native town." P67.

Nowadays , we can recognize hundreds of novels and movies based upon Shelley's work . Frankenstein becomes a famous theme of horror stories:
 For example :
The theme of donated organs acting
independently :

The theme of superhumans turn to freaks like X-men .

Is  Shelley( 1797 – 1851 ) an oracle or these are logical expectations ?
Hundred  years later , after the "wretched " of Frankenstein ,  humanity knows  nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. And radiation is capable of spoiling DNA of fetus and adult .
But , I believe that a real writer can sense the future and see what others can never expect ;  especially , when the writer is a woman .
